This Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship 2023 aim is to attract and retain world-class doctoral students who possess both leadership skills and a high standard of educational achievements in graduate studies in the engineering social sciences, humanities, natural sciences and health. The Scholarship stipend valued is $50,000 per year for three years during doctoral studies.

Eligibility Standards for Canada Vanier scholarship 2022:
- Permanent residents of Canada, Canadian citizens, and foreign citizens are allowed to apply for Canada Vanier scholarships
- Applicants should be nominated/elected by the only one university which must be receiving the Vainer CGS universities quota.
- A student should be undertaking the first PhD program.
- Applicants should not be receiving any fellowship or scholarship from CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC to pursue or complete a doctoral degree.
